Trouble with the Curve – Review
Gus Lobel ( Clint Eastwood) is an aging baseball scout for the Atlanta Braves. He is losing his eye sight without the knowledge of his bosses. He needs the help of his daughter Mickey Lobel ( Amy Adams ) to join him to review this new hitter that the Atlanta Braves wish to draft. Along the way Gus reconnects with Johnny Flanigan ( Justin Timberlake ) who is a scout for the Boston Red Sox. Gus scouted for him when he was a baseball player and Johnny also has an interest for Mickey.
Clint Eastwood as always was good demonstrating a good performance and especially funny in going though the tribulations of old age. Amy Adams is as cute as ever along with being a good actor playing Gus’s daughter. Justin Timberlake was the best choice in being Mickey’s love interest. I thought this movie was good and worth seeing and from a range of 1 to 5 I would rate it as a 3 1/2.
