The Mindy Project – TV Review (Fall Preview)

The Mindy Project is a new Fox comedy starring writer & actress of The Office, Mindy Kaling. Mindy is an ob/gyn resident. This show focuses on her job working with other doctors at a hospital, while at the same time working on her love life. Mindy thinks that life will eventually end like a Romantic comedy. But, is finding life isn’t that way.

In the pilot episode we see Mindy trying to get her life back on track. Her co-workers all have advice for her love life. She’s trying to find that perfect life while at the same time dealing with a 24 hour high stress job as a doctor. Will she find love or spend another night at home watching Sleepless in Seattle?

I’m going to have to be honest with you on this one. This show just isn’t for me. Mindy plays a quirky & likable character, but I’m definitely not the demographic. I feel that this show is going to be eaten up by anyone who likes Romantic Comedies. It will definitely appeal more to women than me. So, I’ll have to pass on this one, but I bet it’ll be popular.

The Mindy Project premieres on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:30CST/9:30EST on Fox.
