Dethklok
Okay, apparently, I’ve been living under a rock or something. About a 2 years ago, I remember watching an episode of “Metalocalypse” on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. I thought it was a pretty good show. But, other than that, I never watched it again.
Fast forward to today. Dish Network has Cartoon Network HD. So, anything recorded in Hi-Def, I tend to give more of a glance to, than normal SD program. That’s when I re-discovered, Metalocalypse. It’s a cartoon in HD, wow! Also, it’s freakin’ hilarious! I added it to my DVR Pass, so it’s recording all the missed episodes. So far, I guess I’ve seen about 6 episodes.
For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about. Metalocalypse is the story of a death metal band, called “Dethklok”. They are the most popular band in the world, and the government is watching every one of their moves. They go on tour & adventures to different places. You just have to watch it.
My favorite episode so far is when Dethklok summoned a Giant troll in Finland. The troll started destroying everything, including all electricity. The band members were upset because they couldn’t use the hi-speed internet because the lack of power. So, they rocked out on some acoustic instruments (even though they weren’t metal!) to put the troll back into a slumber.
To quote Nathan Explosion: “We have a tough choice. Playing acoustic is totally lame and not metal. But then again, if we don’t put that troll back to sleep, we may never be able to check our e-mail with high-speed DSL again!”
Rock On!

Greg- i watched this a few times when it came on but I got bored…I’m more into frisky dingo and robot chicken when it comes to the cartoon network stuff. I wish I had cartoon net HD! damn that sounds good. Satellite has way more HD channels than digital cable.
