Vacation – Day 2 – half-assed productions

Wow… It’s been a busy day!

We started out getting up from the hotel, and heading to Burger King, with apparently “The worst service, ever”. Well, according to foursquare, its the worst one. Anyway, we ended up at Disney property about 11:30.

We checked into Fort Wilderness, the cabins are really nice. I’ve added a big gallery of pictures at the end of the article.

When checking in, signing all the papers and everything, my Dad ended up inadvertently stole a signing pad from Disney. Here’s he is…

After that, we headed to the Magic Kingdom.

Rides Rides Rides… I went on a ton of rides today. According to my foursquare page, I went on: Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Peoplemover, & Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

We also checked out a few attractions; the parade, Country Bear Jamboree, Mickey’s Philharmagic, & the Enchanted Tiki Room.

One new thing we’re trying this time is being on the Disney Dining Plan. It’s actually pretty neat. You get 1 snack, 1 quick service, and 1 table service credit a day. So, for 7 days, we have 7 each. We tried a quick service meal for lunch at Peco’s Bills. It included a 2/3 pound cheeseburger, fries, a large drink, & dessert. It was a ton of food.

The triple Chocolate cake was awesome! They even had Halloween Sprinkles on the cake.

One of the final things I did today, was check out one of their stores. There’s this new collectable item called “Vinylmation”. Basically, they’re Mickey shaped vinyl figures, with different designs on each one. There’s many different designs. But, here’s the catch, the box you get is not marked, so you never know what you’re going to get. You know you’re going to get one of 14 different disigns… or a mystery figure.

Well, I decided I was going to try my luck. There was a Mickey Mouse figure you was inside a pumpkin. I wanted to get that one. But, with my luck, I wasn’t going to get that.

On the inside, it’s sealed in a foil bag.

JACKPOT! I actually got the figure I wanted! Hooray! Should I try my luck tomorrow to get another figure? Maybe I should quit while I’m ahead.

On our way back to Fort Wilderness we got to catch the fireworks overhead. Then we checked out someone’s campsite that had more halloween decorations than a haunted house. Wow.. it’s been a long day! Time for bed…
